AN UNKNOWN MYSTERY, A Cool Exploration!

On June 2nd, 2018, Storied Treasures was given the chance to explore an unidentified shipwreck in Santa Monica Bay.

Dubbed "The Rigger" due to the presence of  a large A-frame which once housed a crane boom of sorts, this wreck was explored using our R.OV. "FAITH."

The ROV, unfortunately, became twice entangled on the wreckage and had to be rescued by divers. And though some cool sights were seen, and even a small porcelain bowl was recovered, there was no definite indication as to the identity of the mystery wreck.
The bowl, recovered by divers, bore no identifying marking aside from a stamp that said: "Made in Usa."

As of today, the identity of the wreck is still unconfirmed, though archival research has produced some possible leads, I still cannot say with absolute certainty what the identity of this wreck is.

Perhaps we will return to 'The Rigger' one day and put a name on this vessel.
